Summertime Fun Suggestions

It's often ironic how we long for summer because of the break in the normal routine only to find ourselves scheduling lots of summertime activities. Somehow it still feels different though and much more fun! I LOVE S.U.M.M.E.R!!!

In case you may be wondering what options are out there locally to break up any potential summer boredom, here are a few fun suggestions. This is certainly not an exhaustive list but it's a start and I'm positive you likely have some ideas that others may not be familiar with so leave a comment and help a momma out this summer. :)

  • Memphis Zoo never disappoints. Currently they are offering a featured exhibit called Stingray Bay and it's really neat.
  • Levitt Shell, the Mid-South's most enchanting venue for free, outdoor, professional performances. www.levittshell.org
  • Catch'em Lakes, near the Agricenter, features multiple stocked lakes for recreational fishing. Equipment/bait are available to rent as well as refreshments and other services. www.catchemlakes.com
