Friend or Foe?

As soon as he had finished speaking to Saul, the soul of Jonathan was knit to the soul of David, and Jonathan loved him as his own soul.
1 Samuel 18:1

What words come to mind when you think of an ideal friend? I'm sure for many, a mental picture of your dearest friend(s) comes to mind and the qualities in them you treasure most.

As women and especially mothers, it's so important and beneficial to plunge deeper into our Mommy Friendships. It can be a hard season of life to give any more of yourself than is already completely devoted to our little ones yet ironically, this stage of life can become a critical time to depend on the authentic relationships built with other women.

A man of many companions may come to ruin, but there is a friend who sticks closer than a brother. Proverbs 18:24

I absolutely LOVE what our speaker, Beth Reed, shared with us regarding true and deep friendship. "A friend is someone who knows the song in your heart, and will sing it back to you when you forget the words." Friends may not always be close due to life interruptions or other unforeseen circumstances, but a real friend is always loyal.

What kind of friend are you? How would your friends describe you?
What intentional changes could you make to become a better friend?
Name at least one specific action you will take in an effort to focus on plunging deeper into friendship?
